Over the years, following my inspirations, I created multiple series of bookmarks.
They have a minimalist and efficient design, and are 3D printed out of flexible TPU for lightness and resistance.
Printed in only 3 to 5 layers, they are at most 1 mm thick, and yet very very strong! That is the beauty of using TPU.
I first made a series inspired by the one-line drawings of Picasso. The cute little animals are printed in 2 black layers over 3 beige base layers.
Then started my little obsession with Mondrian (even before the Mondrian laptop stand, Art/Ranged), so I naturally designed a Mondrian-inspired bookmark.
At the time, I didn't have a multi-material printer yet, so I was manually pausing the printer and changing filament. But that was rather easy and quick thanks to the object being very small.
Later, when I found these classy minimalist designs, I also turned them into a bookmarks series.
Marianne is the symbol of the French revolution, she stands for freedom. And this is what these drawings evoke in me: women today enjoy the freedom to live life in their own style.
